If you are using the LifeMD app on your phone, you may see a notification that indicates it's time to begin your renewal process. You can click the banner straight from the notifications, or open the app and click the renewal banner to begin.
If you are using a computer, you will see a banner that indicates it's time to review your prescription when you open your LifeMD portal.
1. To begin your renewal, click Get Started.
2. If your dose can be adjusted, you will see a note about it. This is what your provider may refer to as titration, meaning adjusting the dose to be more effective. This is a totally normal part of the GLP-1 and weight management process. It may impact the cost, so you might see a toggle asking if you are okay with the adjustment.
- If you toggle Yes, you will be asked to confirm the additional amount to your renewal cost for your medication and proceed to the next question.
- If you toggle No, the cost of your medication for renewal will remain the same and you will proceed to the next question. Click continue to proceed.
Note: If you selected No, you’ll continue with the same dosage, but it may slow or plateau your weight loss. If you're unsure if you want to continue with the renewal, send a message to the Care Team, or set up an appointment to speak to your provider as you normally would to further discuss your options.
3. Now, you will enter your current weight. This will update your chart so you can see the progress you're making!
4. Next, we'll address side effects. It's always important to be honest about side effects you're experiencing — the more thorough you are, the better.
- If you select Yes, you will be asked to select your side effects and explain what's going on.
- If you select No, you will proceed.
5. We're almost done! Now is the time to pull together any questions you have for your Care Team. If you select Yes, you can type out whatever questions you have. If you don’t have any questions at this time, select No and continue to renewal.
6. And that’s it! Your renewal request is now submitted to your provider for review. If they have any questions, or you submitted any questions to be answered, they may reach out before approval.
7. Click Done to finish!
Renewal Submitted — this acknowledges that your question will be addressed and gives you the option to message the team or schedule an appointment to speak to your provider if you find you have more things you want to address.
Since this renewal process also addresses your prescription renewal, whatever appointments you have pending may need to be canceled as they won't be needed (unless you have questions you want to ask!)
